Alicat Workboats was established in May 2009 in response to demand for suitable vessels to provide access for operation and maintenance support for the rapidly growing offshore wind sector.
The first Alicat was launched at the Sea Work workboat event in Southampton in July 2010 . And since that very first boat, Alicat have been building their wind farm support vessels constantly for a growing client base with orders well in to 2012.
As with all commercial workboats, the Alicat range requires a high quality fire suppression system for the protection of the boats engine rooms. Marine Fire Safety has supplied Stat-X systems for the protection of all the Alicat projects, providing both fire detection and fire suppression in a compact and highly reliable fire system that is approved for the work boat code of practice by the MCA and various other class societies.
By offering excellent customer service and committing to our customers timescales and requirements for their various projects, Marine Fire Safety are pleased to announce we have been awarded the contract to supply the fire suppression systems for all of the up and coming projects with Alicat Workboats leading right through to 2012.
“We successfully used Marine Fire Safety fire suppression equipment on our first Alicat vessel, and have continued to use it on all our subsequent projects. I have found the technical advice and support offered by Marine Fire Safety first rate, always delivering on schedule and always able and willing to assist with our tight commissioning programme.”
