Experienced Gaseous Fire Suppression System Engineer

Brief Outline
Due to continued growth we are now recruiting for an experienced Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems Engineer with experience of CO2, FM200 and Novec 1230 systems to join our marine fire suppression systems and maintenance engineering team. 
About Us
Marine Fire Safety is a privately owned fire safety company offering specialised fire detection and fire suppression systems for the protection of marine engine rooms and machinery spaces. 
About the Role
  • Due to the nature of the business and the various locations of our client base, your work schedule will include travelling throughout the UK and on the odd occasion, parts of Europe as required with overnight stays away from home.
  • Within this position you will focus on carrying out both installation and maintenance work on gaseous fire suppression/detection systems and aerosol systems on marine applications.
  • You will be required to use your knowledge and experience to assist other engineers when working on gas systems.
  • You will be required to use your knowledge and experience of gaseous fire suppression systems to assist the sales team with the continued growth of the business and the satisfaction of our existing and new clients.
  • You will report directly to the MD on a regular basis and ensure that high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.
  • A company vehicle and company mobile telephone will be provided.
  • An initial six month probation period, after which a full time position will be granted.
About the Candidate - You will ideally have;
  • Previous experience within a marine fire suppression company.
  • A proven track record built over a number of years in the supply, installation and maintenance of gaseous fire suppression systems.
  • Knowledge of any relevant standards associated with gaseous fire suppression systems.
  • Good maths, English and computer skills.
  • Excellent customer relationships skills.
  • The ability to identify new business opportunities.
  • Good judgement and a passion for finding the best solutions and delivering the highest level of customer service at all times.
  • The ability to work effectively on your own.
  • Good time keeping and clean appearance.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Willing to travel including overnight stays.
Points of Appeal
